Happy pet owners share their experience with the "Cottage"

I was looking for a Malti-Poo and it had to be a black female!!!!!!  I was very specific about my requirements.  Precious Pet Cottage had been recommended to me by friends so I scheduled an appointment to talk to Anita about my request.  I had been searching the internet but was simply unsure.  Anita and I spoke via email, by phone and then in person.  After discussing with me, Anita suggested I come in and visit a special little Malti-Poo she felt would be a great fit.  I went into visit and low and behold….there was a little white, male Malti-Poo; not at all what I described.  Anita and I talked for a little bit and I repeated my preference for a female dog.  I wanted it to be cuddly and sweet, essentially a lap dog that loved to be loved (I always felt male dogs were more aggressive and territorial).  With a little bit of pizzazz to it’s personality.  Anita said exactly, this is a special loving little dog and she felt the personality was exactly as I described.  Anita continued to talk to me and search the internet for the perfect black, female Malti-Poo but continued to tell me why this dog was the right fit although not exactly my specific requirements at the beginning. The whole visit I watched the little white Malti-Poo interact with the other puppies and witnessed his sweet disposition and adorable little face.  I asked to see him and played with him in a special play area.  He continually sat on my lap and was simply a love bug; just the personality I wanted.  Needless to say, I took little Louie, the white male Malti-Poo home with me that night.  Best decision in the world!  He is everything I wanted in a pet.  Anita saw the fit and matched me with the right dog in spite of myself.  On top of it all, my entire family fell in love with him.  My 19 year old son scoffed initially about having a little yappy dog; now we fight over Louie.  He walks around the house babying the dog and talking baby talk, even in the face of his friends making fun of him.  He always says, "I did not want to like this dog, but I love him and all of you better accept it!"  My daughter came home from college and begged me to let her take Louie back to school.  He is simply a lovable, sweet dog that everyone took to immediately!  He is loved and we are so happy we have him and extremely grateful to Precious Pet Cottage for seeing beyond color and sex to find the true fit and home for a very special pet!

--i just wanted you to know that i bought a beautiful buff-colored norwich terrier from you last october.  next month she will be a year old.  my boyfriend is a complete snob about breeders and didn't like the idea of a dog coming from a store.  i had talked to you and told you i was honestly thinking about an australian shepherd puppy.  you, accurately, told me that those dogs needed a heck of a lot more exercise than i had time to put in.  i had grown up with terriers and you told me about the two puppies (a cairn and a norwich) that i might like.  my boyfriend has a lovely australian shepherd mix that we rescued from a shelter.  he is a dream dog--but our maddie (the norwich terrier) is the perfect compliment.  she's relentless with love and play and food.  she makes us laugh everyday, and she's without a doubt, the star of the dog park though the other dogs tower over her.  i just wanted to thank you.  this dog is a delight and a joy and i still visit your website dreaming of a day when i can bring another dog home.  thanks so much.
